These Terms of Business apply to all services provided by Berkshire Pop Tops Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking work, paying a deposit, or leaving your vehicle with us, you agree to these terms.
2. Services We Provide
We offer a full range of vehicle conversion and upgrade services, including:
- Pop top roof installations
- Interior installations
- Carpeting and insulation
- Bespoke unit installations
- Window installations
- Heater installations
- Interior and exterior accessories
- Supply‑only parts
- Supply + installation services
Finance is available upon request.
3. Quotes & Pricing
- All quotes are subject to change based on supplier pricing, parts availability, or additional work identified.
- No additional work will be carried out without your approval.
- All invoices include VAT.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
4. Deposits & Payments
- A 100% materials deposit is required to secure your booking and order parts.
- The remaining balance is due on completion or collection of your vehicle.
- The balance must be paid in full before the vehicle leaves our premises.
- Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, BACS, Credit Card.
If payment is not made, we reserve the right to retain the vehicle until the outstanding balance is paid.
5. Lead Times & Scheduling
- Typical lead time is 6–8 weeks, but this may vary depending on supplier delivery times.
- Installation dates are confirmed at invoicing but remain estimated.
- Any changes or delays will be communicated immediately.
- If you need to reschedule, you must notify us as soon as possible.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits
- All parts purchased for your job are non‑refundable.
- If you cancel, 30% of labour costs will be retained.
Cancellations Near Completion
- If you cannot pay for the completed work, we reserve the right to retain the vehicle until the full balance is paid. If this balance remains unpaid after 3 months we reserve the rights to remove any materials and items to contribute to the outstanding debt.
Bespoke Orders and ALL materials
- All materials and bespoke/special‑order parts are non‑refundable. Unless there is expressed allowance from the manufacturer.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Disclosing any existing damage, imperfections, or previous modifications at drop‑off.
- Ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and safe to work on.
- Removing all personal belongings before handover.
- Providing accurate vehicle information.
IMPORTANT: You need to remove ALL removable items eg, removable seats, seat cushions and general clutter before drop off. If this is not done there will be an hourly charge applied to the value of time taken to clear the van for work to be carried out.
We are not liable for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.
8. Warranty
Parts
- All parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Workmanship
- Installation workmanship: 12 months
Warranty Exclusions
Warranty is void if:
- The product is misused or not maintained correctly
- Third‑party modifications are made after installation
- Damage occurs due to accidents, unrelated leaks, or structural issues not caused by our work
9. Liability
We are not liable for:
- Pre‑existing vehicle issues or hidden defects
- Indirect losses (e.g., loss of income, travel costs, accommodation)
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modifications
- Delays caused by suppliers or external factors outside our control
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
10. Vehicle Storage, Insurance & Risk
- Vehicles may be stored overnight on our secure premises either in the unit or in a secure compound.
- Vehicles are left at the customer’s own risk.
- We recommend ensuring your insurance covers your vehicle while off your property.
- A handover form may be required on drop‑off and collection.
11. Completion & Collection
- You will be notified when your vehicle is ready.
- Vehicles must be collected within 48 hours, unless otherwise agreed.
- Storage fees may apply for late collection.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern:

- We aim to respond within 5 working days
- If unresolved, we may refer you to an appropriate ADR body
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England & Wales.

By paying a deposit, booking work, or leaving your vehicle with us, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Business
